Background
The North American Centre for Reparenting (NACFR) was founded to provide a resource to grandparents who have chosen and/or been charged with raising their grandchildren. Its goal is to inform, educate and provide resources to this growing community. While there are several other Web based organizations that do work in this area, there has, to this point, not been one central repository for this much information and these many resources for caregivers.

The Problem
As part of the process of designing and launching a new website, user testing must be conducted. The focus of these tests was basic usability and functionality.

The Waycool Solution
We designed the tests around ten representative tasks ranging from finding information provided directly on the site to locating local resources from data provided by the site and making a contribution to the organization.

The Results
The tests conducted in these sessions exposed some weaknesses and functional errors on the site. These discoveries allowed Waycool to address issues with the site before it launched, saving time, effort, embarrassment and money for the NACFR.
